ETRX Induction Loop Monitor Set

The ETRX has been designed in to allow non hard of hearing people to listen to the programme material being broadcast in the induction loop.

It is usually used by the responsible person within an organisation to verify loop operation in accordance with the DDA (Disabled Discrimination Act), although it has hundreds of other uses from camera talkback in a TV studio to museum tour guide systems.

The ETRX is a compact belt clip case with three push buttons on the front, and a pair of headphones (supplied).

The unit is activated with the ON-OFF key, and after a short period (indicated by the power LED glowing brightly) the unit amplifies the loop signal to the headphones. The volume is digitally controlled using the up and down keys (after power up the volume reverts to a low level to avoid the possibility of hearing damage).

The unit is powered by a standard PP3 type battery (long life alkaline types are recommended) and will give 20 hours of continuous use, or over 60 hours of intermittent use.
